About the International Center

The Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies (NUFS) International Center manages the JASIN: Japan Studies in Nagasaki program as well as other service for Japanese and International students studying abroad.

International Center

The International Center was established on April 1, 2003, to “promote international exchange in education and research.” To achieve this goal, the Center performs the following activities:

  1. International agreements concerning promotion and exchange with foreign universities
  2. Activities related to sending students abroad and accepting international students
  3. Activities related to accepting foreign researchers
  4. Activities related to conducting Japanese language and culture education for international students
  5. Guidance on matters concerning international student studying and living
  6. Conducting a Short Term Study Abroad Program for international students
  7. Other matters necessary to achieve International Center objectives

Committees

To facilitate efficient operation, the International Center staff has established two committees on International Exchange and International Students.

International Exchange Committee Issues
  1. Promoting exchange with overseas partner universities
  2. Matters concerning sending students to study abroad
  3. Matters relating to student scholarships to support studying abroad
International Student Committee Issues
  1. Matters concerning acceptance of foreign students
  2. Matters concerning supporting foreign students
  3. Matters concerning scholarships for foreign students
  4. Matters concerning foreign student life in general

International Center Office Location

Business related to the International Center is conducted at the International Center office. The office is located in the central university office, which is on the first floor of the main building. Please feel free to request assistance from the reception counter.
